This week wpZimmer is hosting three new residencies, of which one collective one. We are joined by choreographer, dancer, artistic collaborator and teacher Anneleen Keppens; visual artist and director Nazanin Fakoor and finally Irina Lavrinovic, Asher Lev and Robert Steijn who are working on a collective project. It’s a full-house at wpZimmer these upcoming two weeks as we welcome four different residencies. From September 5th until 18th Samuel Baidoo, Maxime Arnould, Christine De Smedt joined by Liza Baliasnaja and Theo Livesey and Egon Schoelynck joined by Runa Robbroeckx and Lennert De Vroey will all be working on their artistic practices which you can discover here.
A helpdesk for artists? Let’s set the scene! Your project dossier deadline is approaching in a week, you’ve been staring at the format and Excel-sheet for days and the terms ‘policy plan’ and ‘job-specific subcriteria’ make you sweat…

During her residency, Carolina and her team will be working a performing arts production at the intersection of text, dance and music “The Hero’s Journey of Anastácia”. Read more about the work here!
Veli Lehtovaara’s residency centers his work on Nature Untitled, a new work in collaboration with visual artist Eija-Liisa Ahtila and sound designer Jani Hietanen.
(more…)For two weeks, performer, singer and writer Somalia Williamson works on MOTHER – a collective and multidisciplinary research which explores the mother-figure and its meaning to us.
(more…)During his residency, performance artist and researcher Diego Echegoyen works on Invisible Cities (working title).
(more…)Antwerp-based interdisciplinary, mixed-media artist Çifel Hüseyin is joining wpZimmer for a two-week residency where he’ll be focussing on Displacing Belongings – a project that strengthens the boundaries of different disciplines as if it is a progress of re-imagining the connection between beings, things, happenings, and the environment we live in together; which then unfolds as an interdisciplinary research process that premises an artistic and creative discovery of the passage of time through interactive, spontaneous and temporary encounters with different personas.
