Meet Valerie Tee Lee, an artist working across performance, text, and communal (care) practices.

During her residency at wpZimmer she’s delving into her most recent work “Foraging Names-Archives” – she intends to reconstruct this body of work by liquefying and reshaping reflected glossaries. Additionally, she will write as a performative act, rewriting and recontextualizing words and materials.

This month, we start off with a residency accompanied by researcher, performer and performance maker Elisabeth Borgermans. For a week she’ll be focussing on her current research project “Douleur et Rébellion”.

This month, wpZimmer is space to a collective residency in collaboration with Detheatermaker. For three weeks, Egon Schoelynck, Marthe Koning and Prisca – Agnes Nishimwe are taking over the space as they collaborate, exchange as well as devote concentrated time on their individual artistic projects.

Isabel Burr Raty joins us the coming two weeks for a residency at wpZimmer joined by two collaborators: scenographer and designer Marzia Dalfini, dancer, choreographe, craniosacral therapist Agnes Schneidewind and master student in Autonomous Design from Kask Nora Allegaert.

Meet Berlin-based dramaturg, writer and cultural worker Jette Büchsenschütz.

During her week-long residency at wpZimmer, Jette works on her research titled “Radical Depression or how to depathologize disruption” which intends to look deeper into the intertwinement of neoliberal economy, its labour conditions and the increasing struggle with mental health and depression.

Meet Argentinian dancer and choreographer Rocío Marano.

With ‘The Rite of Spring Unearthed’, Rocío draws inspiration from the renowned ballet ‘The Rite of Spring’ as she wants to reimagine elements from the piece while being informed by her Latin American heritage.

This Friday, June 23rd we are hosting our 6th and final Last Month Tonight of the season!

Last Month Tonight enables a setting in which previous residents and the broad wpZimmer community get to meet around a question, a practice or a text during an informal encounter. It’s no showing or pitch, but an opportunity to exchange around artistic questions and practices.

TENT: A School of Performative Practices, is a space of possibility and imagination, which invites (almost) all inside. It is a temporary, mobile space of mutual learning and collective imagination. On June 1st, Pankaj Tiwari joins wpZimmer with TENT, inviting artists, curators and academics.

In the week of May 22nd, we welcome artist-researcher Orlando Vieira Francisco in residency. For a week; he’ll be working on his current project ‘From the Top of Mountains We Can See Invisible Monuments”.
