Playing Works
What are the exact conditions for a successful, democratic and transparent working process? This question brought Anouk Friedli and Barbara T’Jonck (two theater makers) together and served as the starting point for PlayingWorks: a study into more democratic and transparent collaboration through play.
This play-based research stems from the conviction that the project-based logic of the performing arts contains a collective political experiment; not only must different artistic visions find common ground, but emotional relationships and issues of power and responsibility must also find form and balance.
For the game research at wpZimmer, artists Tine van Aerschot, Anna Carlier, and Oihana Azpillaga are joining PlayingWorks as fellow players to further expand and explore the collective and the sense of community surrounding and arising from this game.
