Corps de Ballet (2014)

In Corps de ballet, Noé Soulier uses the vocabulary of classical ballet to make apparent its inner organization. He draws on several analyses that he unfolds spatially and temporally. By playing in the interstices, he unsettles our expectations and captures what remains usually in the background: the way the dancers approach the movement, the intimacy of contacts in pas de deux, the structural links between steps, or the border between the meaningful gestures of ballet mime and an abstract movement phrase.
