Vacances Vacance

Vacances Vacance

Vacances Vacance is a solo, a monologue, a dance. The starting point of Ondine Cloez’ performance is the desire to recreate in a studio setting the feeling she experiences during a holiday: a feeling of peace and gratification. With a little exaggeration, one might call it a state of grace. Her first attempts failed of course: ‘working on the concept of holiday’ is a contradiction in itself. But along the way, Cloez came across some dance movements that brought her closer to emptiness, silence, death and grace. And just like that, by a detour, she ended where she had started.
