TYJ

PROJECT

TYJ

From 16 to 28 February 2015, the Ukranian-Portuguese choreographer Alina Bilokon will be working in our studio on TYJ, a new performance created together with Léa Rault. The first work-in-progress won the third price and the audience award at the Danse Elargie festival organized by the Théâtre de La Ville in Paris and the Musée de la Danse in Rennes in June 2014. TYJ will premiere at Théâtre des Abesses in Paris in September 2015.

For TYJ, Alina Bilokon and Léa Rault will each create their own solo. The performance will bring both solos together, uniting the two artists in their search for a place to take a stand. They will examine and try out new ways of collaborating, in a language that combines metaphors and allegories, as well as live music by sound artist Jérémy Rouault. During her residency at wpZimmer, Alina Bilokon will be working on lyrics and melodies for her own solo. She will also start speculating on the possible forms of the new piece.

In 2012, together they founded their company Pilot Fishes.
