During her residency, Enrica Camporesi will be working on Oertaal: oefeningen, an artistic research in the form of texts, miniatures and theatre workshops that explores how sense arises from signs, how we do things with our words, how language(s) and mutual understanding are tangible creatures that inhabit the jungle of ambivalence.

As she’ll be working alone in the Studio of WP Zimmer, Enrica will focus on a series of mini-books for table top telling the story of an ancestral, mythical mother who – busy with the creation of language and mankind – has lost her child.While in previous residencies (Monty, Zuidpool, De Veerman, Rataplan) and workshops (Toneel Academie, Maastricht; Conservatorium, Antwerpen) she explored different aspects of the research, such as the creative flow, the storytelling and the writing, the didactical code of the lecture-performance, the invitation to participate to the audience, during the residency at Zimmer She will zoom in on the micro scale of the page as a scene, and the words as performers claiming it. 

Enrica is working on Oertaal: oefeningen with the support of the Flemish Community, platform 0090 and Rataplan since January 2021.
