During her residency Salomé Mooij will be working on a preliminary study for her new work: ‘Construction of a Wilderness’. In this work, she wants to look at the city as a natural biotope. A teeming habitat where the plants between the paving stones, the moss on the roof and the city fox live together with the car, waste and drinking water.

In the preliminary research, she collects all kinds of shelters for nature in the city and is curious about our attitudes and relationships to them. How and where do plants and animals live in the interstices of our constructions?
