Philippe Beloul
The work of Philippe Beloul is situated within the performing arts field, also exploring other media or other platforms such as live tutorial performances and audio streaming event. He presents his works internationally and continues to develop projects with other artists, both as a collaborator and as a performer.
After studying dance in Cannes he worked for several years as collaborator and as performer. He created and performed for Les Ballets C. de la B. with Alain Platel in La Tristeza Complice (1995). He performed in Peeping Tom’s Une Vie inutile (2000) and realised the soundtrack for their show Le Jardin. He created the musical score for 5, a piece by Sarah Ludi for ZOO/Thomas Hauert in 2003. He performed with Hush Hush Hush, Walter Verdin and Alexandra Bachzetsis and played in the film Somewhere in Between, Pierre Coulibeuf’s film about Meg Stuart’s work.
