Marah Haj

MARAH HAJ (born 1998) is a Palestinian dancer and maker from Kofor Yassif in occupied Palestine. She lives in Antwerp where she graduated from the Bachelor of Dance at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp in 2021. In June 2023, she completed her master’s degree in Drama at KASK in Ghent. In her own work, she is concerned with the concept of mother tongue and investigates the power dynamics between languages, which resulted in: Kilma Hilwa & Zayt Zaitoun (2021), In Exile (2022) and Language: no broblem (2023).

In addition to her own work, she can be seen in Another Sacre, co-produced by Alain Platel & Bérengère Bodin and TH LNG GDBY by Tuur Marinus.
