Adrijana Gvozdenović
Adrijana Gvozdenović is an artist who is Archiving Artistic Anxieties, Otherwise Exhibiting and sometimes wandering Who is Adrian Lister?.
She is interested in artists’ motivation and ways of resisting (self)institutionalized structures. Taking context as a partner, she is responding to established structures in the field of visual arts – pushing the borders between making, mediation and production. She is developing works that are also tools for conversation, practices for collective learning, and ways of documenting what would otherwise remain unnoticed or discarded in production.
Her most recent works and artistic engagements are realized through close collaborations: research project “Anthropomorphic Trouble” (Arts Catalyst, Sheffield and Whitechapel Gallery, London), educational program “Not in the mood” (a.pass, Brussels), video work “Water made to move” (SCHUNK, Heerlen), exhibition “This situation has developed over a long time” (ŠKUC Gallery, Ljubljana), card-reading performance “7 anxieties and the world” (Glasmoog Cologne, GMK Zagreb, CIAP Hasselt).
