Although neither utopian nor dystopian, this epoch will transform the concepts that we rely on to give meaning to our lives, from our business models to the cycle of human life, including death itself.<\/em>\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De Singulariteit verwijst  echter ook naar de theoretische emergentie van een supper-intelligentie op grond van technologische middelen. De capaciteiten van zo&#8217;n intelligentie zouden moeilijk te begrijpen zijn voor het menselijke brein op zich. Daarom wordt de Singulariteit gezien als een punt waarna gebeurtenissen niet langer voorspeld kunnen worden en oude  interpretatieschema&#8217;s niet langer van toepassing zijn op het heden. <em>The Singularity Is Near<\/em> is een speculatie over het onvoorstelbare; een onderzoek naar accumulatie en totale insluiting.
