{"id":11573,"date":"2019-02-04T12:33:00","date_gmt":"2019-02-04T11:33:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wpzimmer.be\/?post_type=projects&#038;p=11573"},"modified":"2026-09-21T12:40:08","modified_gmt":"2026-09-21T10:40:08","slug":"traces","status":"publish","type":"projects","link":"https:\/\/wpzimmer.be\/en\/projects\/traces\/","title":{"rendered":"Traces"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cMaybe it is worth running the risks associated with anthropomorphism (superstition, devinization of nature, romanticism) because it, oddly enough, works against anthropocentrism: a chord is stuck between person and a thing, and I am no longer above or outside a nonhuman environment.\u201d &#8211; Jane Bennett, Vibrant Matter<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During her residency at wpZimmer, R\u00f3sa \u00d3marsd\u00f3ttir will work on her new creation <em>Traces<\/em>,  together with Katie Vickers, Inga Huld H\u00e1konard\u00f3ttir, Tiran Willemse and Kinga Jaczewska, and along with musician Sveinbj\u00f6rn Thorarensen and  scenographer Ragna Ragnarsd\u00f3ttir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">R\u00f3sa and the group explore \ndifferent anthropomorphic practices through pagan rituals like \nwitchcraft and animism as means to relate to and affect their \nsurroundings. They build a scenography resembling different landscapes \nand explore how they can use these practices in order to influence the \nstate of the it and to give it anthropomorphic qualities.
