LOVE
LOVE, the second part of TETRAPTYCH, is an abstract, fragmentary monologue by Arthur Decock that seeks to put human romantic love on stage in all its raw, chaotic completeness. What does it do to us to be in love? What does love sound like in the darker twists and turns of our brain? And why do we desperately yearn for that ultimate fusion between two people? Just as the Chinese mythological Jian bird searches all his life for a perfect counterpart, so do human beings wander the globe, lost, alone, searching for each other. What does that do to us?
