ISLAND OF SLOW
! Suspended due to the outbreak of COVID-19 !
For ISLAND OF SLOW Lize Pede explores the sound and shape of cellophane plastic. She is intrigued by the question: how can we experience empathy for a non-living, material object?
ISLAND OF SLOW can be described as a surreal, visual performance. The performative element is not created by the presence of an actor or dancer but by the movement, sound and liveliness of the plastic. How can an all-consuming experience be created by manipulating te plastic through space?
