Rachid Laachir

Rachid Laachir (he/him,1986) maker, performer and designer working as an interdisciplinary artist and performer for several Belgian and European productions and for short, experimental fiction films. He designs the scenography for numerous theatre performances at home and abroad. Laachir obtained his master’s degree in scenography and costume design from the Royal Academy in Antwerp in 2009. Rachid’s performance experience covers a wide range of unexpected forms and domains. He has a strong, radical and visual language, with a focus on the duality between human and natural worlds. During his residency he’s researching laughter, tears and folklore.
