NÉSTOR GARCÍA Díaz

Néstor García Díaz was born in Alicante and raised in Valencia (Spain). He studied theater at the Institut del Teatre, Barcelona and Choreography at P.A.R.T.S, Brussels. He danced in some projects led by choreographers such as Xavier Le Roy, Daniel Linehan and Michiel Vandevelde. In 2012 he began working as a performer for Tino Sehgal, being active in the visual arts field since then. He has collaborated with other artists in museum projects, such as the Dora García solo show at MNCARS Segunda Vez.

Despite producing pieces since 2010 he starts producing works exclusively for museum space since 2017. Recently he had his first Museum piece shown at Centre del Carme Cultura Contemporanea in Valencia (Spain).

During 2014-2015 he benefited from a fellowship at Akademie Schloss Solitude (Stuttgart). He also works as independent dramaturge, curator and collaborates as a writer in some performing arts publications in Spain. Currently he lives between Madrid and Brussels.
