Katinka de Jonge is an artistic researcher and artist who lives and works in Ghent (BE).

In her work she investigates multi-vocality and the function of language and dialogue in specific contexts. This can be a neighbourhood, but also an (art) organization or certain (oral) history that surrounds a place. She works with different media, which are often approached in a participative way: audio, text, performance and installations are recurring components. She is currently a researcher at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp and works as an artist at de Koer, Werktank and Vooruit.

In recent years her work has been shown at and/or supported by (among others) NL: Roodkapje, Over T IJ, Non-Ficion, BE: M Hka, Netwerk Aalst, WP Zimmer, KAAP, Extra City, Werktank, Cas-Co and VierNulVier. She is currently a PhD researcher at Hasselt University, investigating the boundaries between artwork and artis-run organization, in which the precarious socio-economic position of the artist is central.

De Jonge works in various collaborations and has a broad interest in how a collective artistic practice is organized.
